Alan Y.L. ChanAlan Y.L. Chan is an executive director of ITC Properties (SEHK: 199) responsible for its business, project design and concept development, as well as implementation of its sustainable practices. He is managing the strategic development of the Rosedale Hotel Group; which is seeking to be the first owner and operator of a LEED certified hotel in Hong Kong. Alan is also in charge of ITC’s two latest developments, the Sanya Sun Valley Golf Resort and the Guiyang Moon River residential development, both of which are attempting to be the first LEED ND certified projects in Asia. Prior to joining the ITC group, he worked in Goldman Sachs under the Investment Banking Division (IBD) focusing on Financial Institutions. Alan is a graduate of Duke University with a B.A. in Political Science (International Relations) and with specializations in Philosophy and Economics. He is also an active member of The Y.Elites Group in Hong Kong.

Dr. Christine E. BrucknerDr. Christine E. Bruckner, FAIA, HKIUD, BEAM Pro, LEED AP. Principal CEBruckner Architect and sustainability consultant; Director, Immediate Past President and founding member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Hong Kong Chapter, established in 1997 to serve the professional interests of the growing number of AIA member architects practicing in Hong Kong, China and the Asia Pacific region. During her fourteen years of involvement, she has served in many, often simultaneous, roles including Committee Chair and long time member of the Honors and Awards and Nominating Committees; Active with Programs development, Urban Design & waterfront initiatives, COTE LEED events, Membership and International Region objectives & raising awareness for sustainable initiatives. She has consistently served as technical advisor to the annual adjudications; and as juror, advisor, moderator, reviewer and coordinator within the professional and expanded community. She has an accomplished academic profile and holds a PhD in architecture and engineering from the University of Tokyo, a Masters in architecture from Yale University and a B.A and B. Arch from Rice university. She has also received accreditation as a LEED AP (leadership in energy and environmental design accredited professional as recognized by the US Green Building Certification Institute) and accreditation as a BEAM Professional (Building Environmental Assessment Method professional as recognized by the Hong Kong Green Building Council, HKGBC). Christine has over 15 years experience practicing in US, Europe, Japan and Hong Kong; and continues to bring her design focus on sustainability to the forefront.
