About the project
BEE completed a turnkey consulting service for “The Freshary”, an organic food retailer located in downtown Shanghai. The project was the first retail store to get a LEED® certification in China and was awarded LEED® for Commercial Interiors (CI) Gold. The Freshary uses state-of-the-art LED lighting systems and Energy Star commercial cooking appliances, which enabled the store to dramatically reduce its power consumption. BEE has performed numerous ventilation calculations to ensure occupants in each room have increased thermal comfort and controllability. The store will also use rapidly renewable sustainable materials to reduce the depletion of finite raw materials and non-toxic elements to maximize occupant health and well-being.
